After the Encuentro "Belen Milonguero Matera", those who desire to stay longer for some more days of magic will receive a HUGE SURPRISE: A workshop with a young and very talented couple of dancers:
Maja Petrovic e Marko Miljevic.
Their way of dancing is very elegant, refined with soft but sharp movemnts in closed but very comfortable embrace. They transmit joy, energy and freshness not only when dancing but also during their lessons: they are indeed tireless, very generous, so attentive to details. Their way of teaching is precise and rigorous, based on pregressive learning so as to let students get visible results. The workshop is organized by the Associations CONTRATANGO and NOCITANGO on Jan 3, 4, 5 ,6 at Giovinazzo (near Bari)
The Milongas with Maja and Marko on Jan 3 and Jan 5 will be at ANCORA Restaurant in Giovinazzo (Ba) via Fossato 62
Maja and Marko started dancing in 2002 with their friends and teachers Tajana Burger and Zrinko Maloseja and were active participants in development of tango scene in Zagreb, Croatia. In the past few years they taught regular tango classes in tango school "Tango Argentino Zagreb". Since 2010 they live in Karlsruhe, Germany. Their dance is mostly influenced by younger generation of Argentine artists like Pablo Rodríguez and Noelia Hurtado, Federico Naveira and Inés Muzzopappa, Bruno Tombari and Mariángeles Caamaño, Fernando Sanchéz and Ariadna Naveira, Carlitos Espinoza as well as Mariano “Chicho” Frumboli and Juana Sepúlveda and Julio Balmaceda and Corina de la Rosa. They are trying to mix all this great influences and styles to come up with something of their own which is relaxed, comfortable and fun. Since 2011, they have performed in many major European events including Karlsruhe Tango Festival (2011, 2012), Tango Mafia (2011), Danube Tango Meeting 2012, Mediterranean Summer Tango Festival 2012, Tangomagia 2013 as well as on many milongas in Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Ireland and Croatia. Maja is also very involved in collecting and exploring tango music, which she often shares with other people as a DJ on various milongas.
