KARIN BETZ - (Germania)
I’d love to turn you on ... make you smile to a playful Firpo tune, get you going to D’Arienzo, make you indulge in Pugliese’s violins and fall in love with Fresedo. My DJ sets never follow a fixed playlist, they search a dialogue with the dancers and search to create an emotional, cheerful atmosphere. I listen carefully to the music and to the lyrics (if there are) while composing a tanda and like to create tandas that tell a story which is transported by the music, even if you don’t understand what they are singing. And I always select new cortinas that aim to go well with the tandas and the atmosphere. I have been DJing since 2005 all over Europe as well as in Argentina, Korea and China.
DOÑA TIZIANA - (Italy)
She has been a passionate dancer for almost 12 years.
With the name of DOÑA TIZIANA, she started played music over 5 years ago. Her repertoire goes from the ‘30s to the early ‘50s, with a focus in the ‘40s, that she considers the most expressive period of tango.
Her high sensitivity in monitoring the ballroom and the dancers allows her to create energy and the “buena onda”, shifting dynamic pieces to more intimate ones, searching constantly for giving back to the ball room the energy received.
She is one of Trio NOCITANGO and with the association she organizes different events among which: Encuentro Milonguero TanGOaGOGO (Verbania-Italy), Avventura Milonguera Peace&Love (Noci-Italy), Belen Milonguero Matera (Italy). She is invited to play music in Apulia, in Italy and in some international events.
AGE AKKERMAN - (Netherlands)
As a passionate pianist, dancing tango inevitably led Age to dive deep into tango music. He studied and
played in several tango orchestras, but found his place in musicalizing the milongas. He aims to connect us via the music with ourselves and each other. He leads you through the whole spectrum of
emotions with a reliable stream of delicate, romantic, rhythmic, energetic and dramatic tangos.
Age retunes tangos to their original tempo and pitch, which sounds more natural and much better. Analyzing speed/pitch variations, he found that most tangos have been transferred at incorrect speeds (see http://tangodjduo.nl). Age displays tanda-info with a projector on the wall.
He DJs regularly at international tango events and is a resident DJ at various milongas in the Netherlands.

NICK KING - (England)
First and foremost I am a dancer, so when I DJ I start with the idea that I only play music that makes me want to dance. If it doesn’t move me, it doesn’t get played. My aim as a DJ is to make the dancers I play for leave the milonga with aching feet and with smiles on their faces. If I can do this then I have done my job.
